Riding for Legacies and Loved Ones
11 years ago, the Cycle of Life Tour began when one man died, and another man chose to ride in his honor to raise money for hospice care. On July 20th, 185 Cycle of Life Tour riders from around Vancouver Island will strap on a helmet, step up to the spokes, hop on the best seat outside of the house, and ride nearly 200 km over two days to raise funds for compassionate, person-centered hospice care that supports the journey to end-of-life and the bereavement that follows.
Many riders will carry with them the legacy of a loved one,
all of them will carry their hopes for the future of hospice care.
If you feel inspired, and share in our hope for the future of hospice care, support the Cowichan Life Cyclers as they prepare for a weekend of tough cycling. Visit their team page to contribute to the cause and read the rider profiles to find out what inspires them to ride.
While you are there, think about what hospice means to you, and if you like share your story with us: Share my Hospice Story.
