Each year, many people gather together at the Annual Christmas Light Up in Memory event to remember their loved ones. Please join Cowichan Hospice and the Cowichan District Hospital for the 2016 Tree Lighting Ceremony in front of the hospital on Wednesday, December 7th. The ceremony starts at six, there is music in the lobby at 5:30.
“To be present as so many of us remember loved ones who have died, is always a profound and yet comforting experience at this most poignant of seasons.” says Gretchen Hartley from Cowichan Hospice.
The ceremony includes beautiful music, words of comfort, and lighting bulbs on the trees in front of the hospital. Everyone will have the opportunity to turn on one of the tree lights in memory of a loved one. Following the lighting ceremony, Cowichan Hospice volunteers will serve refreshments in the hospital cafeteria.
