Members of the Chemainus, Ladysmith, and South Cowichan Health Care Auxiliaries

Some of the hard-working members of the Chemainus, Ladysmith, and South Cowichan Health Care Auxiliaries demonstrated their generous support to Cowichan Hospice House with cheque presentations.

The Chemainus Health Care Auxiliary brought a giant $50,00 cheque, and a smaller version for the bank, bringing their amazing contributions to the hospice house project to a total of $300,000. The Chemainus Auxiliary has also sustained hospice care in the community for many years with an annual donation.

The Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary also presented a giant $50,000 cheque and renewed their $10,000 annual commitment to hospice programs. Starting with a grant to support early planning stages of Cowichan Hospice House, their total contributions to the project amount to $195,000.

The South Cowichan Health Care Auxiliary later presented Cowichan Hospice with a cheque for more than $3,000 raised at a Beer and Burger night that featured music by the Lakeside Loungers.
